CEQURUX ANNOUNCES MALAYSIAN DISTRIBUTION DEAL New version of intelligent firewall simplifies
installation and support Cape Town, October 18, 1999 - CEQURUX Technologies, the Internet security company, today announced
that its Cape-developed software products are to be exported to Malaysia
via an exclusive distribution agreement with Win Network Services Sdn Bhd,
a wholly owned subsidiary of Teliti Computers.
Under the terms of the agreement Teliti
Computers will provide both sales and support for the CEQURUX Firewall
and Virtual Private Network products. The contract begins with immediate
effect and has an estimated value of R5 million over the next two years.
"It is part of CEQURUXís global expansion
strategy initially to pursue less developed markets where buying patterns
are not so firmly entrenched and Malaysia represents such an opportunity
with its exploding Internet market," said Chris Pinkham, CEO of CEQURUX.
"We were impressed with Teliti's mature,
established and well-respected position as a leading systems integrator,
clearly evidenced by its long list of blue-chip clients which include The
Prime Minister's Dept, Ministry of Defence and other Government Depts as
well as a number of large financial institutions and Telekom Malaysia. Teliti also has the right company profile to incorporate CEQURUX
products into a total business solution provided by an extensive and highly
skilled support team," said Pinkham.
"Our partnering with CEQURUX will enable
us to offer an affordable, yet robust Internet security solution. The combination
of strong authentication, compliance with international standards, superior
quality, and competitive prices afforded by CEQURUX products will allow
us to deliver real added value to our customers," said Mohamed Nasir, MD
of Teliti Computers.
"We are convinced that the Malaysian
governmentís committment to hi-tech development, as testified by the creation
of the 'Multimedia Super Corridor'* will also have a positive impact on
the industry and will provide the platform for CEQURUX to become the leading
Internet security brand in the region," concluded Pinkham.
