An educational organization through which more than 96,000 system administrators, security professionals, and network administrators share the lessons they are learning and find solutions for challenges they face. SANS also offers many resources, such as news digests and research summaries and white papers and security alerts gratis to all who ask.

The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) (http://www.cert.org)
CERT services include 24-hour technical assistance for responding to computer security incidents, product vulnerability assistance, technical documents and tutorials. We also recommend that you join the CERT mailing list too.

Firewalls mailing list

The Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) list
