While trying to access webadmin, I get 'Document contains no data'
on my browser, while on the firewall I see loads of messages regarding
SSL. What am I doing wrong?
You have set the SSL option to 'YES' for webadmin, but on the browser you
are trying to access the webadmin port using 'http'. Just add an 's' to
the URL i.e. 'https'.
While trying to setup remadmin and keyadmin, I get 'connection failed' on the MS-Windows side, and on the firewall console assorted
'access denied' messages. Why?
To set up either rem- or key-admin, requires 3 things:
- On the 'Remote Admin' screen, a port must be entered for the service.
- In 'Access Control', 'Services', 'TCP Proxies' you must add a TCP proxy for the service needed.
- The windows machine that you are connecting from must have an entry in
'Name Service', 'Local hosts' on the firewall.
To invoke rem or keyadmin, you must know whether there is a remadmin password, and what it is. In the connect dialog, if there is a remadmin
password, check the SPEKE box and fill in the password. If there is no
remadmin password, uncheck the SPEKE box. Note also that these passwords
are case sensitive.
I am using Microsoft
Internet Explorer version 5 and I am experiencing connection timeouts every so
often when requesting reports from webadmin. I have checked all the timeout
settings on the firewall and on my browser and they are all
fine.
The cause of this particular problem is not known. It is, however,
exclusive to IE5 used in conjunction with webadmin. It is therefore recommended
that you install a different browser such as Netscape 4.x .
The navigation buttons don't load when I am browsing the Ad
ministrator's manual from webadmin
The images for the buttons are in PNG format and you are probably using an older browser which does not support the PNG image format. It is recommended that you upgrade your browser to a later version.
