The View Current Network Connections Screen displays the current active network connections. The connections are displayed in four groups: the ICMP gateway sessions, the UDP gateway sessions, the TCP gateway connections, and the TCP proxy relay connections. For NNTP connections, the current newsgroup being read is also displayed, while for WWW connections, the current URL is displayed.
You can scroll around the display to see long lines and large numbers of entries using the cursor keys. The display will automatically be updated five seconds after the last key-press (thus pressing no keys results in a display that is updated approximately every five seconds. As this is a useful feature, the usual automatic idle logout facility of fwadmin is disabled in this screen).
FTP data sessions are shown separately from their associated control connections. The number of the associated control session is shown following the word `ftp', separated by an underscore or a colon. An underscore is used if strict TCP stateful filtering is enabled and the data session connection is either in the process of being opened or closed, while a colon is used if TCP stateful filtering is set to loose, or the data session connection is established.
You can terminate a particular connection by using the F4 key. Each connection is associated with an identifier consisting of a letter indicating the type (for example, `P' for proxy) and a number. After pressing F4 you will be prompted for the identifier for the connection that you wish to terminate.
