Daily Reports

At the end of each day, the firewall generates several reports which are mailed to the user specified in the System Log Setup Screen. These reports are:

Daily Syslog Summary

This report summarises login activity on the firewall itself, and shows which hosts were denied which services.

Daily Traffic Summary

This report can be in tabular or columnar format. In the former case it consists of a table which is split every few columns to enable it to be printed in 80 columns. The rows of the table represent the hosts that requested services, while the columns represent the services requested. In columnar form the summary is shown sequentially, avoiding the need to split it up. The tabular format has been retained for historical reasons, but its use is not recommended. The format used is selected in the Mail Setup Screen.

Daily Security Report

This report shows which files on the firewall have changed in the last day.

Daily S/Key Password Summary

This report shows the names of trusted users whose S/Key passwords have expired or are near expiry.
