The firewall produces daily accounting reports with summary information about the amount of traffic for each service and user, the files uploaded and downloaded from the FTP server, WWW servers accessed, spam mail denials, and so on. The reports distinguish between internal and external users. Reports can also be generated at any stage for any period during the previous ten months (assuming that logs are archived for ten months; this is a configureable setting). A standard web browser is used as a front end for selecting the type of report to generate and the time ranges of interest, so reports can be generated remotely, and printed or mailed. Access to this reporting service is configured in a similar way to all other TCP proxy services on the firewall.
