Preparation consists of reading this chapter, determining the configuration of your hardware (interrupts, I/O base addresses, and shared-memory base addresses), and making sure your BIOS date and time are set correctly. You can set the BIOS time to your localtime or to universal time (GMT/UTC). Figure 4.4 contains a list of supported network interfaces; make sure your NICs are in this list.
