Setting Up a Printer
The Printer Setup Screen (Figure 4.56) lets you set up your firewall to use a printer,
either locally attached or accessible via the network.
The printer can be used to print any files of interest using the
lp command,
as well as for
echoing of log messages (via log filters) and printing graphs of log
activity.
The fields in the screen are:

- Printer Type
- This toggle field lets you choose what type of printer
you have. Available choices include `Dumb LP' for a
generic dumb printer, `PostScript' for a generic
PostScript printer, and a few others for some common
types of printers.
- Remote Server
- If the printer is not attached to the parallel
printer port (UNIX device /dev/lpt0) on the
firewall, then this field is used to specify the
remote print server host. Print jobs will be sent
to the remote server using the UNIX `lpd' protocol.
- Remote Printer
- If the printer is not attached locally, this field lets
you specify the printer name to use when requesting
print jobs from the remote print server.
